brothmonger: Reviews & Ratings
The best soup in the burgh. Also their BLT sandwich that was a special in the summer was LIFE. CHANGING. It was on homemade focaccia bread. They’re incredible with offering options for dietary restrictions. Any time I’ve gone there has always been a vegetarian and a vegan soup on the weekly menu. Highly highly recommend! Pictured is the BLT, pastina soup, and vegan mushroom soup.
WOW 100/10 food. Made with love + patience it’s apparent. The owner is so kind and accommodating. Had the clam chowder, a grilled cheese with Gouda cheese + and a coke and the the total was under $14 amazing prices for even more amazing flavor and portions! Such a cute shop, about 4 tables for dine in and good music + plants + decor. Will be back!! Highly recommend. She also sells a ton of pints of soup to go as well as salads, pasta salad, potato salad, lentil salad + more.
Atmosphere was great, but unfortunately both my and my friend's sandwiches were burnt. The veggie minestrone was pretty good, but not something I'd order again. Looking forward to trying their other offerings. They had a good selection of heat-and-eat foods from other local shops, which is great to see.
My boyfriend and I visited brothmonger for lunch while exploring Bloomfield. They have a rotating menu of soups and some other food items like sandwiches and focaccia to snack on. We got the Hungarian mushroom soup and the spicy pepper and potato soup. Both were great! The interior is cozy and features lots of cute plants and regular chairs/soft seating. There is some small outdoor seating as well. As avid soup people, we both loved brothmonger and will be back when we’re in the area again :-).
Brothmonger is incredible. The soup is obviously the queen gem here but the sandwiches, salads and focaccia are also incredible. There are always a variety of options for folks with dietary restrictions and everything is clearly labeled. My favorites so far are Clam Chowder, Crab Bisque, Mushroom Farro & Shrimp Tortilla. Pro tip- Don’t miss the cool little mural on the ceiling of the foyer of a steaming bowl of soup by Hysteria Co.
Best. Soup. In. Pittsburgh. There’s something for everyone here — from the rich, creamy ones to lighter options like homemade chicken and vegetable broth made with great ingredients. Every month she releases a new menu, and you must try the tomato pie — it’s incredible. The only downside? No delivery. Otherwise, I’d definitely order way more often!
Wow. The soup is so pure and absolutely delicious and the focaccia was heavenly. A Pittsburgh staple for me now.
Cute cafe style with absolutely phenomenal food. The Boyfriend is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Pittsburgh. The Italian Wedding Hoagie was also amazing, the bread, meatballs and greens being cooked to perfection. We’ve been wanting to check this place out and we are so happy we did!!
